Dr. Somi Oh, O.D., F.I.A.O.M.C
Dr. Oh received her Doctor of Optometry with high honors from the School of Optometry at U.C. Berkeley and has been successfully practicing optometry in the Bay Area since 1983. She has helped open 5 practices and has a long history of excellence in all aspects of optometric care, including diagnosis and treatment of vision problems and ocular health.
She specializes in practicing corrective vision therapy, Orthokeratology, a non-surgical procedure/myopia control to eliminate or reduce myopia and/or astigmatism. She is an industry pioneer, particularly in corrective therapy with children, and has taught internationally and published papers on the subject. She brought Orthokeratology to Seoul, Korea in 1993.
Dr. Oh prides herself in providing excellent family eye care for clear vision and long term eye health.
Dr. Hung Sun Chung
Dr. Hungsun Chung received her Doctor of Optometry from New England College of Optometry in 1994. Prior to her optometry career, Dr. Chung earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from University of Northern Colorado, and she was a chemistry research in University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Chung completed an externship at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts emphasizing ocular disease and the externships in Community Health Centers in Greater Boston Area emphasizing general family eye care. Dr. Chung, enjoys working with broad range of patient populations. She has a variety of experience in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Chung’s special interest includes dry eye treatment and special fitting for all types of contact lenses. She also enjoys learning new research and development in eye care to serve patients better. Dr. Chung in her spare time enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Justina Cho
Dr. Justina Cho joined Eye Boutique Optometry in 2017. She decided to pursue her second career as an optometrist after staying home to take care of her family for over 10 years. Dr. Cho received her Doctor of Optometry from Western University of Health Sciences in 2014 and worked in the field of pediatric vision therapy and general eye care involving treatment and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Cho’s special interest includes contact lenses, myopic control therapy, and post-op surgery management. She also aspires to utilize her knowledge and skills to serve other underrepresented communities during mission trips or voluntary work.
Dr. Cho enjoys many outdoor activities/sports such as skiing, playing tennis or golf, hiking, camping, and traveling with her family and friend.
Kate Kim, Office Manager
Kate has been an Office manager/Optician since 2006, works closely with patients to make sure your choice of eye-wear has the form, fit, and function you deserve to optimize your vision quality. She is an insurance billing specialist and also willing to help patients with their medical and vision benefits. Kate prides herself on customer service and ensures that your visit to Eye Boutique will be an exceptional experience! Kate speaks Korean and English
Cristela Gonzalez, Assistant Manager/Insurance Billing Specialist
Cristela has been an optometrist assistant since 2004. She can speak both English and Spanish. She enjoys working with patients with frame selections and contacts as well as Ortho-k lens training's, while providing excellent customer service. Also she is taking care of our medical and vision insurance billing.
Soyoung Seo, Optician/Lab Technician
Soyoung has been an optician since 2013. She is very knowledgeable with lenses and eyewear. She works hard to deliver the best services to patients. She speaks Korean and English.
Daniela Montes, Optometrist Assistant/Lab Technician
Daniela has been an Optometrist Assistant since 2016. She is friendly and very willing to help. She takes care of all the pre-testing before going in with the doctor. She enjoys helping patients and makes sure they walk out with a smile. Daniela can speak Spanish and English.
John Lee, Medical Technician/Optician
John has been an Optometry field since 2016. He used to work at Ophthalmologist's office as an Ophthalmic Photographer. He likes to interact with patients to deliver the best services he can. John speaks both Korean and English.
